We integrate with most major ATS platforms including Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Bullhorn, JazzHR, BambooHR, BreezyHR, Workable, and SmartRecruiters. If your ATS supports webhook callbacks or REST APIs for background check vendors, we can usually connect within 1 to 2 weeks.
How does ATS integration speed up hiring?
Integrated ATS background checks eliminate the manual handoff between recruiting and screening. Recruiters trigger background checks from inside the ATS workflow, candidates receive consent links automatically, status updates flow back to the ATS in real time, and final reports attach to the candidate record. This typically cuts time-to-hire by 1 to 3 days per role.
Is there a setup fee for ATS integration?
No. Vertical Identity does not charge a setup fee for standard ATS integrations on supported platforms. You pay only for the background checks themselves (starting at $39). Custom integrations or one-off ATS connectors may have a quoted setup cost — we will tell you upfront before any work begins.
Is the ATS integration FCRA-compliant?
Yes. All FCRA disclosure, consent, and adverse action workflows are preserved through the integration. The candidate still receives the required stand-alone disclosure and signs electronic consent before any check runs, and adverse action notices are generated automatically when triggered. The integration handles the data plumbing — it does not change the legal protections.
How long does an ATS integration take to set up?
Most supported ATS integrations are live within 1 to 2 weeks of kickoff. The work involves API credentials, webhook configuration, candidate field mapping, and testing with a few candidate records.
